What is priming and why should it be used?

Priming is a crucial step in preparing surfaces before applying subsequent layers, such as paints, adhesives, plasters, flooring, or insulation systems. This process involves the application of special priming agents that penetrate the substrate, improving its properties. The purpose of priming is to ensure that subsequent coats adhere to the substrate, reduce and even out absorbency and strengthen the surface structure.

ATLAS UNI-GRUNT is a fast-drying, deeply penetrating priming emulsion. The product reduces and evens out the absorbency of substrates, strengthening their surface. It is ready to use and becomes colourless when dry. It increases the efficiency of paints and adhesives and facilitates the application of subsequent layers.
