SUPERBRAND POLSKA 2012 Title for ATLAS
The sixth time in a row, ATLAS brand, has been recognised as one of the strongest consumer brands on the market, winning the title Superbrand Polska 2012. We have taken undisputed first place in the category of building articles, finishing and garden ones. In the competition Superbrands award - winning brands are procured in several stages. In this year's edition, in addition to the opinion of Brands Council, composed of independent Polish experts of marketing, advertising and branding, the results of the respondents survey have been also taken into account. Total of assessed brands was 1077 - 120 of them were granted titles Superbrand 2012. The next phase of the project, as in past years , will be the edition of the album, called the bible of branding, in which the distinguished brand will be able to present, inter alia, its history and the way to success. The full list of successful candidates will be announced in June this year on the final solemn final ceremony, during which the occasional statuettes will be handed over. The programme was founded by the world organisation The Superbrands ltd. located in London, acting from 17 years in 80 countries. It is intended to promote and reward strong brands at the various local markets and disseminate the idea of branding.
The group of 21 Latvians- building professionals took part in the workshop organized by ATLAS Group.
During four days (14-17.11.11) stay in Poland (Leszcze loacation in DOLINA NIDY), clients of ATLAS BALTIC - our entity from Riga, underwent the theoretical and practical training. They were acquainted with the information about new ATLAS Group products by Dariusz Stobierski from ATLAS, Marek Tomasik from DOLINA NIDY and Andis Londenbergs from ATLAS BALTIC. The participants in the practical part of training have been taught how to apply correctly the products, i. a. DOLINA NIDY products: Gypsum Plaster Gamma- for manual application and Gypsum Plaster Beta- for mechanical application. Each participant was awarded with a special certificate confirming the acquired knowledge and skills.
MUNSTER GREEN HOMES rules in Ireland
October 17 this year, our largest trading partner in Ireland - Munster Green Homes - was awarded the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 Award to the best entrepreneurs of the region Limerick. ATLAS GROUP began working with Munster Green Homes in 2009 and since then has set for insulation systems ATLAS / AVAL in connection with a very favourable Irish government subsidies. Munster Green Homes company has a chance of winning the most prestigious economic award in Ireland - National Enterprise Award 2011 (The Irish Entrepreneur of the Year 2011). The results will be announced on 24 November.
ATLAS acquires Romanian Romcolor
The subsequent acquisition of ATLAS Group announced an opinion-forming business daily, Puls Biznesu. This time ATLAS took a majority stake of Romanian Romcolor Group, which comprises companies: Romcolor, Sinteco and Cezal. The Group is a manufacturer of cement and plaster construction compounds, insulation systems, and paints and varnishes.
The Dutch in ATLAS
The representatives of Veerman Beheer company, the new client of ATLAS GROUP from the Netherlands, visited our plants. The visitors tested our cementitious products as well as gypsum ones.
Integrated Management System
Managing a company is in line with world standards. ATLAS GROUP has implemented an Integrated Management System consisting of three complementary subsystems: the quality management (ISO 9001:2008), environmental management (ISO 14001:2004 + Cor 1:2009) and the management of occupational health and safety (BS OHSAS 18001:2007).

In the individual entities of the ATLAS Group the integrated management system is based on the process approach. This means that all the processes that have an impact on quality have been identified and described and members of the staff have been appointed and authorised to manage these processes.

The Integrated Management System Policy defines the principal directions of ATLAS activities, with a view to offering products that are safe and environmentally friendly. This is achieved by professional product development, state-of-the-art production process and meticulous quality control. It could not have been feasible without long-standing co-operation with a reliable group of service providers and suppliers of raw materials and packaging.

The continuous improvement in the quality of products as well as processes is aimed at winning long-term trust of our Customers and consolidating the positive image of our firm. The assumptions of the Integrated Management System Policy have been communicated to all members of the staff and published in widely available places.

In order to implement the provisions of the Integrated Management System Policy, Strategic Objectives have been defined. They are aimed at meeting our Customers' expectations and continuous development of all the entities within ATLAS.
