FINISHING LAYER MORTAR FOR CONCRETE AND FERROCONCRETE SUBSTRATES REPAIRED IN ATLAS BETONER SYSTEM
FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL USE
| ATLAS ENDER is a cement mortar designed for finishing layer making in the ATLAS BETONER concrete and ferroconcrete repair system. The mortar may be the final finishing layer of repaired surface as well as a prime coat for additional layers of decorative or protective coats e.g. paints. Distribute ATLAS ENDER mortar on ATLAS FILER; however, in case of repairs of small defects in concrete, it can be applied directly on ATLAS ADHER finishing layer. ATLAS ENDER can be used for repairs of surfaces, ceilings, terraces, binding joists, columns, stairs and other concrete and ferroconcrete elements. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. |
| ATLAS ENDER is a ready-to-use dry mix based on high-quality cements, powder resins of the latest generation, mineral fillers and modifying agents. It is convenient and easy to use. ATLAS ENDER main features are good adhesion, elasticity and very small linear contraction, which enables to obtain a surface free from contractive micro-scratches in case of appropriate maintenance. It is frost- and water-proof. |
| Concrete substrate should be stable, even and structurally sound i.e. strong enough, and free from any layers that may impede mortar adhesion. In particular, remove any loose concrete layers as well as clean the substrate (concrete and elements of reinforcement) by removing dust, dirt, lime, oil, grease, wax, remains of emulsion and oil paint. Cover the substrate with ATLAS ADHER contact layer and then ATLAS FILER levelling layer in accordance with their application method. |
| In order to prepare the mortar, pour dry mortar into a container with suitable amount of water (in proportion: 0.16÷0.18 l water for 1 kg of dry mortar) and mix until homogenous. It is best to mix it mechanically, using a drill with a mixer. The mortar is ready to use after 5 minutes and after remixing. It maintains its properties for ca. 1 hour. |
Distribute ATLAS ENDER on ATLAS FILER levelling layer (at least 24 hours after its application) or freshly applied ATLAS ADHER layer (wet-on-wet method). The mortar needs to be evenly applied on the surface (pressing it on to the substrate) and then smoothed using a float made of steel. Float the surface using a moist float with a sponge. Protect the poured mass from drying too quickly, direct sunlight, low air humidity and draughts (for ca. 3 days). To ensure convenient setting conditions, as needed, sprinkle the surface with water or cover it with foil. Reduce heating of the room in which work is underway. The drying time of the underlayment depends on the layer thickness and also ambient thermal conditions and humidity. It is acceptable to begin finishing layer use after about 24 hours, whereas any load can be placed on it after ca. 14 days. Additional surface finish with various coats, depending on their type, manufacturer’s instructions, ambient temperature and humidity, can be commenced after ca. 3÷7 days.
The information comprises basic instructions of product application and does not relieve users of responsibility for work in accordance with good construction practice and OHS regulations. |
| On average ca. 2 kg of the mortar is used for 1 m2 for each 1 mm of the layer. |
| Drill with mixer or float made of steel. Wash the tools with clean water directly after use. Clean the remainder of the set mortar that is difficult to remove with ATLAS SZOP. |
