TO BE USED WITH MORTARS FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL USE

USE

ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION is designed for modifying properties of selected cement mortars, extending their scope of application. Used together with ATLAS ADHESIVE, ATLAS MIG adhesive and ATLAS GROUT FOR WIDE JOINTS it enables to fix tiles on rigid and stable water-resistant plywood, plasterboard panels, existing glazed tiles, terracotta and terrazzo and on the remainder of existing strongly bound adhesives and mineral mortars. With ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION, the aforementioned adhesives can also be used for fixing tiles on terraces, and floor and wall heating systems. ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION can also be used to prepare the contact layer before application of quick-setting ATLAS TEN-10 mortar. The emulsion is suitable for adhesives and mortars for indoor and outdoor use, on walls and floors.

PROPERTIES

ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION is based on high-quality polymer dispersion and modifying agents. It is easy and convenient to use, and improves adhesion, elasticity and plasticity and watertightness. If added, it compensates for the stressing forces within the substrate in the case of fixing ceramic tiles in floor heating systems. Adhesives/mortars with ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION remain frost- and water-resistant.

PRODUCT PREPARATION

Add ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION to adhesives/mortars in the form of a water solution. Pour the emulsion to a clean vessel and dilute it using clean water applying appropriate ratio, depending on intended use. - for ATLAS ADHESIVE - 1 kg of emulsion for 1.7 l of water – for ATLAS MIG adhesive - 1 kg of emulsion for 1.7 l of water – for ATLAS GROUT FOR WIDE JOINTS - 1 kg of emulsion for 2 l of water – for ATLAS TEN-10 (applied to the contact layer) - 1 kg of emulsion for 2 l water.

APPLICATION

Add slowly the dry mix (in the ratio of 10 kg of a given compound for a solution prepared from 1 kg of emulsion) to a water solution of ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION and mix until homogenous. The modified adhesive/mortar is ready to use after 10 minutes and after remixing. After adding the emulsion, ATLAS ADHESIVE and ATLAS GROUT FOR WIDE JOINTS maintain their properties for 2 hours after mixing, ATLAS MIG – 30 minutes after mixing, and ATLAS TEN-10 mortar - immediately after mixing. Whether the adhesive/mortar is used with ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION or without it, its application remains the same in accordance with the instructions contained in the Technical Sheet of a given adhesive/mortar. CONSUMPTION

On average, 1.0 kg of ATLAS ELASTIC EMULSION is used for 10 kg of modified cement mortar.

TOOLS

A drill a with mixer, float made of steel. Wash the tools with clean water directly after use. Clean the remainder of the set mortar modified with the emulsion using ATLAS SZOP.

Plastic containers: 1 kg, 5 kg Pallet: 432 kg in 1 kg containers, 540 kg in 5 kg containers

STORAGE & TRANSPORT

Transport and keep the emulsion dry in tightly closed original packaging, in temperatures above 0°C. Avoid overheating. Shelf life is 12 months from the production date on the packaging.

CAUTION

Keep out of the reach of children. In case of direct contact with eyes, seek medical attention.
